Sgt. Pepper’s Lonely Hearts Club Band, the fourth official release by the eclectic pop combo A Halo Called Fred, released (just over) 20 years ago – is available at ahalocalledfred.bandcamp.com and at the band’s live shows, in a special deluxe 20th Anniversary CD Edition, with the original 1996 cassette tracks restored to their original flawless sequence. Produced by Claude Coleman of Ween, Sgt. Pepper’s… represents the first realization of Halo’s more polished, musical sound that persists into their music today.

According to a Halo representative, “Sgt. Pepper is reportedly Sir Paul McCartney’s favorite album, and Sir Paul would not steer you wrong.”

Produced by Norm Demoura (Susan Tedeschi, NRBQ), Body Parts and Flying Things epitomizes the bands more raw, punk influences. The year before Sgt. Pepper was released, Body Parts… was considered the greatest album of all time by all respected experts of musical opinion, according to Halo’s representative.

About A Halo Called Fred:
The best geek rock ever played on guitar, bass, fiddle, and kitchenware, with songs featuring such topics as pirates, steampunks, cavemen, and any body part or flying thing you can think of. Halo has performed with King Missile, been produced by a member of Ween, and featured on The Doctor Demento Show.
