A Halo Called Fred has released a new video for their song “It’s Not That Kind of Party,” from their latest album, Lies, Damned Lies, and Songs by A Halo Called Fred
Recorded on January 4, 2017, during an appearance on PA NJ Radio’s “Musical Notes with Judith Marchand,” the band was originally set for a regular radio appearance until Judith said the magic words, “Bring some friends!”
Taking advantage of the request, as well as the studio’s green screen, the band put a call out and by the time of their appearance, had assembled belly dancers from the Coveilance Dance Project, sideshow performers from Karnevil, some Furries, an alien or two, and more.
Recorded at Green Birdie Productions in Lambertville, NJ, the band decided to film the video for their song given the song’s theme and the unique combination of characters attending the shoot.
Halo’s Geverend explains, “The origin of the song stems from experiences at a dog park, whenever dogs there would start humping, we’d say “Whoa! It’s not that kind of party!” I thought it was something funny that would make a good song so it became a song about two people who want each other so badly, even at the most inopportune moments.”
A Halo Called Fred is currently performing in support of Lies, Damned Lies, and Songs by A Halo Called Fred and will be appearing at Steampunk World’s Fair 2017, from May 5-7,2017
